Yo Nate,
I have become a big fan thanks to the turn on by your pal Ben ( whom I am a hugh fan and new friend of )
Congrats to your Wife and You if you hadn't gotten married Ben and I might never have met.
I love your drumming in Kneebody and on Bens solo record I think. Greg Leisz also has much to say about you.
I will continue to look for your work for inspiration.........thanks very much,
your brother behind the kit, david kemper

I came across the NYT article on Kneebody today. Congrats on all the good press! You guys should find a way to play somewhere in New England... Boston even.
I hope all is well.

Dear Mr. Wood,

I just say you play with the Ben Weller Quintet (sp[?]) at Hunter College this past Friday afternoon, March 20th, 2009. Your playing was truly inspiring. I wanted to ask about some of your influences; the only person specifically that came to mind while watching you was Bob Moses, and his treatise on organic drumming. Your playing was so vibrant and creative; it was a joy to hear you play.
I have a subscription to Modern Drummer and I got behind on my reading. I am currently reading an issue each week to catch back up. Today, Monday, March 23rd, 2009, I began reading the January 2008 issue. As a side note, I had never heard of you or any of your bandmates before this past Friday at Hunter College. What do I read on page 18 of the January 2008 Modern Drummer? In Quick Beats Chicago's Tris Imboden wrote, "Next up & coming drummer: Nate Wood". I almost fell out of my chair. Synchronicity.
Keep living the dream, Mr. Wood!
Sincerely, Matt Murphy

Just downloaded the three samples from your record. Words escape me.........you've grown to be such a talent, I just can't believe what I hear on your record. You know, I am so fortunate to have been in on even a small degree of your growth. As you know, I was working quite steadily with your ma and pa when you were an uncomfortable lump in your mom's tummy. I treasure those days and will always be greatful to them for being such a part of my growth as a drummer. And my hats off to them for being such great parents. I have a couple of kids (8 & 10) and I am now experiencing so many challenges with them. Frankie is now 8 yrs old and has been playing the drums now for about 4 and a half yrs. and would love for him to follow in my footsteps. But, you know that probably every parent would wish for more for their kids than they themselves have. So, I have never pushed it on him. He only recently has asked me to teach him a few things.
I just want you to know that you were a big part of my life before I had kids, and as a result I now have kids. If I hadn't had the opportunity to experience that kind of communication, I probably would not have kids today. Thanks for that.

See you at the Coach House on the 10th. Do you want me to play your drums that night or would you want to play mine? You're the headliner. It's your choice.

Luv Ya

Frank

Saw you play last night with Nick Mancini and just ordered Reliving. It was funny to see the list of "people who like this might also like..." including XTC, Steely Dan and Police. Just 3 of my top all time favorite bands. Best of luck from Paula in boring old LA (as opposed to Norway, Greece, Japan, Chile).

Hi Nate :)

Your music is amazing in many ways - great melodies, harmonies and arrangements. It's a great source of inspiration for me, as I'm in the process of writing songs that I plan to record.

hey Nate, i ´m from Chile, i had the oportunity to saw you playing at Tonic in NYC last february, i had no idea about Kneebody, actually, i was there for Claudia quintet concert wich i missed, but the guy at the door on Tonic say me "just go in and enjoy it....", i believe that was a next level experince, cayse after listen to everybody in that city i was there with an a stupid attitude saying myself "Ok, lets go , one more experimental band.....", and to listen Kneebody that night was a challenge, i bought the Cd wich i listen almost everyday , i am musician, i play drums, i am 35 years old, i teach, and i hope to see some day again one of the more exiting bands on earth: KNEEBODY.
